Winter Wash & Go Tutorial

I've been itching to do a wash & go! I definitely hate the repercussions of them (single strand knots, tangles, shrinkage) but I love seeing my natural texture. Oh and 1 other thing. Old man winter. Heading to work at 5am with wet hair is a no go, no ma'm not me. So I thought I'd share a new method I tried that eliminates most of the things us kinky curly girls struggle with.

Start with freshly washed, wet hair. I applied Curls "Quenched Curls" and Curls "Curls Milkshake" as a base.
If you have thick hair like me, you'll need a heavy gel. I used EcoStyler. Smooth this down 2-3 inch sections of your hair to define your curl pattern,
Loosely twist the section of hair keeping the ends smooth yet free. Repeat for the rest of your head. I ended up with about 8 twists.
I let it dry overnight. You can sit under a hooded dryer if you have one. This is what it looked like the next day.
I throw my hair in a high pony tail at night and spritz with water in the morning. Easy breezy!
Try it and let me know how it works for you :)
