My Black Friday Purchases!

I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!
I did, and Black Friday wasn't so bad either.
As you can see I'm twisted up. I had to do something. My hair was driving me nuts.
Another issue...I was all out of styling products.
Well I took advantage of the black Friday sales this year to re-up my stash.
I bought 2 8oz jars of Afiya 4 you "Healthy hair butter"

Here are the ingredients:
* Shea Butter Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Jojoba Seed Oil, Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Aloe Vera Leaf Juice, Vegetable Wax, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Fragrance Oil, Vitamin E, Biotin, Hydrolyzed Silk Protein, *Organic Essential Oil Blend, Organic Green Tea Extract, Organic Nettle Extract, Organic Marshmallow Root Extract, Organic Slippery Elm Extract
*Certified Fair Trade Ingredient
The jars were 2 for $20 and I got the papaya and warm vanilla scents.

Next, one of my twitter followers and fellow natural hair blogger Alexandra of The good hair blog announced she was selling some products she no longer used.
I bought a $15 set that includes Miss Jessie's Stretch Silkening Creme, Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, and Beautiful Curls Curl Activating Cream.

Finally, I gave in to Oyin handmade. I purchased from them when I was transitioning, and had great results but the pricing and slow shipping was a turn off.
But I remembered the awesome softness and shine their products gave my hair, and decided to take advantage of the 20% off sale.

Ingredients:Purified Water, unrefined Shea Butter, Organic Aloe Vera Gel, Cocoa Butter, Castor oil, Coconut oil, Sweet Almond oil, olive oil, Vegetable emulsifier, beeswax, Palm Stearic Acid, vegetable glycerine, honey, optiphen (preservative), fragrance

I can't wait to try everything! Although I might be in twists for awhile. Long hair is so high maintenance!
P.S. I cut my hair again. Just another inch ;)

  1. I have relaxed coarse dry hair. I heard nothing but good reviews on shea butter so I had to try it. The result is amazing!

  2. Your twists look awesome. I love Oyin's Whipped Pudding but usually end up using it more for my skin than my hair. It smells delish!
